Outward exposure and publication source context
This reference preserves cross-cutting context for controlled sharing, public publication, access, discoverability, and usage rights. It does not create requirements independently; binding statements are repeated in the applicable CRDs.
Source roles and limits
| Source | Role | Can establish | Cannot establish alone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current PIOS framework | architecture authority | Core Self and Circle boundaries, separate outward-control axes, source/representation separation, sensitivity handling, and external-action governance | one hosting stack, URL pattern, identity provider, rights standard, or implementation |
| Historical PIOS Global at the selected revision | historical design evidence | controlled-sharing versus public-presence distinction, visibility states, access modes, discovery levels, human/machine rights, publishing lifecycle, and public-space concepts | current architecture authority or current implementation |
Restricted application evidence RAS-01 | bounded negative realization check | absence of the searched public-asset and exposure-model identifiers in the selected revision | proof that no differently named implementation exists or any production-state claim |
Exposure model
| Concern | Question | Independent outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Controlled sharing | Which bounded audience receives this representation through a share? | active, expired, withdrawn, rejected, or failed share |
| Public publication | Is the representation publicly reachable? | published, revised, unpublished, archived, or rejected revision |
| Access policy | What conditions and grants govern opening it? | active, suspended, expired, revoked, rejected, or superseded policy/grant state |
| Access evaluation | May this requester open it now? | attributable allow or deny decision |
| Discoverability | Can it be found beyond a direct locator or grant? | hidden, index-eligible, promoted, or withdrawn state |
| Usage rights | What may humans and machines do after access? | current rights declaration with effective scope |
Cross-cutting boundaries
- Private canonical truth and outward representations remain separate objects or explicitly separated views. Exposure of the outward representation must not expose the source by implication.
- Preparing an outward representation, sharing it with a bounded audience, and publishing it publicly are independent transitions.
- Visibility, discoverability, access policy, request-time access evaluation, and usage rights are separate concerns. No single public/private flag can represent them.
- Controlled sharing and public presence are distinct: one is audience-bounded utility, while the other establishes public reachability and may carry durable identity framing.
- Publicly reachable content may remain unlisted. Accessible content may still restrict reuse, redistribution, indexing, agent use, or model training.
- Publication is an external action and follows applicable owner approval, standing authority, sensitivity, provenance, and audit constraints.
- Withdrawal or revocation changes future governed availability while retaining required publication, access, and decision evidence.
Realization evidence
The historical source proposes concrete public paths, usernames, folders, domain mappings, password/login/email gates, sitemaps, and rights presets. These are useful realization patterns, not universal capability requirements.
A bounded search of the selected restricted application revision found no named published-asset model or the searched visibility, discovery, rights-policy, share-link, or public-username identifiers. This negative result does not prove that no differently named path exists, and no implementation, test, deployment, or production availability is claimed.
Sequencing context
This tranche covers exposure and policy outcomes. Outward-representation preparation already has its own CRD. Public-presence namespace, custom-domain binding, delivery optimization, external messaging identity, analytics, and legal enforcement remain separate candidates or realization concerns.
